NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

Come in. Get comfortable. You are in the right place. There is nothing too BIG or too small for counseling.

Whatever you are struggling with, I can help you make sense of it. If you are trying to make changes in your life or mindset, I can help you find the way to do so. I have spent the past 19 years helping people just like you deal with issues just like yours.

Some background information:

I have been a licensed counselor since 2002. I have had a chance to work in a variety of interesting and intense clinical settings, including outpatient non-profit clinics, private practice, inpatient recovery centers for adults, adolescent residential facilities, the health department, and inside prisons. In my role as a counselor, I am often an educator to patients and to colleagues. I hope to offer consultation and supervision to mental health professionals (LLPC) in training soon.

We will use an eclectic blend of counseling styles and theories working together, but I love working with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). CBT believes that if you change your thoughts, you can change your emotions and your behavior. It is a simple, but powerful, idea that helps us to manage emotions better and change negative thought patterns.

Some therapeutic issues I have had more extensive experience working with patients on include addiction recovery, trauma and PTSD, spiritual trauma, identity development or self-exploration, self-esteem/ empowerment, dealing with anger, anxiety, and depression, and dealing with changes or life transitions.

I can work with anyone, but I prefer working with patients ages 10 and up, either individually or in groups. My warm, friendly manner helps people be at ease and know they are in a Safe Place right away. Diversity of all kinds is welcomed and encouraged.

I am currently available evenings and weekends Virtually and In-Person at the Greenville office.

At this time, I am unable to accept patients who are currently employed by MDOC (retirees or family members are ok) or patients who are currently in the court system (on probation or parole)
