ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

"We don't have to do all of it alone. We were never meant to', said Brene Brown".  As a Licensed Professional Counselor and Art Therapist I have worked in several different settings, from inpatient mental health, to private practice. I have also provided outpatient group therapy to a variety of populations. Using a person- centered approach, I am passionate about helping others cope with anxiety, depression, trauma, difficult life transitions and the vulnerabilities these experiences may cause. Given my education and experience, I am well suited to treat mood disorders such as depression, anxiety based disorders, attachment issues and dysfunctional behaviors.

I attended Naropa University in Boulder, CO where I obtained a Master of Arts in studies related to transpersonal counseling, mindfulness techniques and Art Therapy. At WMU, I have taught “creativity and healing” at a graduate level. I utilize evidence-based treatment approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused CBT and as a trained couples counselor, The Gottman Method.

I welcome all in their walk of life, orientation and/or identity to find your own creative path toward healing! I understand that it’s difficult to face our vulnerabilities and come to counseling. However, when we embrace these vulnerabilities, we become softer and in turn, wiser. I look forward to meeting with you soon!
