ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

Hello, my name is Becky Egan and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor. I believe that counseling involves the sharing of personal information in a non-judgmental atmosphere. I would like to help you during your journey to identify the problems, decide on goals, discover solutions and put them into practice. I have knowledge in substance use issues, anger management, domestic violence, criminal justice issues, depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, safety planning, community resources and different personality disorders. I have worked in a jail environment, in-patient rehabilitation for addictions, and during my undergraduate employment I worked with families who were involved with Child Protective Services.

My knowledge of counseling comes from many different theoretical orientations. I acknowledge that each individual is unique and so are their concerns. I find it to be most therapeutic if clients explain to me where they are in this moment, where they would like to be and then we can build on their strengths to help them achieve their goals. I believe that individuals already have solutions to their own dilemmas they just need some assistance navigating the waters until they find steady ground.

Counseling is about a journey to finding the person you are and feeling safe and secure in that knowledge.
