Welcome! I’m so glad you’re here. My name is Bethany, and my pronouns are she/her.
Counseling is a big step, and while it can be a struggle at times or feel like a lot, my hope is that you find a way to live more authentically the life you want and step into your power. We are all unique and have our own desires and goals. As your counselor, it is not my job to tell you what to do. I am here to help you through the process, provide tools, and build a relationship that better supports you as an individual. I firmly believe that counseling should be a judgement free zone and I offer unconditional positive regard as a cornerstone of my counseling style.
My background is in working with youth who have experienced trauma. I have worked in youth homes and as a school counselor. I have experience providing Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical-Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Trauma Focused-CBT (TF-CBT), and Solution Focused Therapy. However, while some aspects of these therapy styles may be present, I think it is most important to meet you where you’re at and it is likely no one counseling style will fit perfectly. I’m excited to meet you and start this journey together!
