Hello, I am excited for the opportunity to work together! I am a licensed master social worker with over 7 years of clinical experience. My goal in therapy is to create an environment where people can draw on their own inner wisdom to grow, change, and adapt. I see therapy as a very collaborative process and recognize the uniqueness of each individual as the expert of their own experiences. As such, I believe in using a variety of different therapeutic techniques tailored to each person.

I completed my bachelor's degree in Psychology and my master's degree in Social Work at GVSU. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, stress, thought disorders, and substance abuse. I come from a trauma-informed perspective and am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I have extensive training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and will also use Motivational Interviewing, and elements of Compassion Focused Therapy.

When I’m not at the office I’m spending time with my wife and two children, enjoying nature, exercising, or playing volleyball. I’m an avid reader, can be caught dancing whenever there’s a good beat, and am a huge fan of the Detroit Lions.
