Hi there!

My name is Bri, and I would first like to commend you for starting the process of seeking mental health services. It is often a difficult decision to make, and I do not take that lightly. As a clinician, my first priority is creating an environment in which every client regardless of their background or identity feels safe, supported, and heard.

My educational background includes both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree from Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids. My Bachelor’s degree is in Psychology with an emphasis in Child and Adolescent Services, and my Master’s degree is in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. My professional background has included working with clients as young as 3 years of age and as old as 22 years of age in the counseling setting as well as in the behavioral health setting as a behavior technician.

I am comfortable and equipped to address a multitude of presenting concerns. The list includes, but is not strictly limited to; anxiety, depression, attachment issues, behavioral concerns, adoption, grief, developmental delays, obsessive-compulsive disorder, mood disorders, abuse and neglect, trauma, agoraphobia, self-esteem, and life transitions.

In my practice, I strive to be person-centered, and consider myself to be an eclectic therapist. I utilize techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), narrative therapy, strengths based therapy, and solution focused therapy in my work, alongside the inclusion of expressive therapies as needed.
