Asking for help is one of the hardest and bravest things one can do for their self or their child. It can make some people feel weak, like there is something wrong with them, or like they are doing something wrong. Fortunately, these are all myths and I believe that, once you take that step, you will find that asking for help and starting therapy is one of the best, most fulfilling things you will do for yourself. I know this from personal and professional experience.

I am a licensed master’s social worker (LMSW) and have been in this field for six years. I graduated from Michigan State University in 2020 with a Masters in Social Work. My past experience includes providing counseling to women and children in a domestic violence shelter, facilitating grief support groups for children, and most recently, working with high-risk youth and their families in a community mental health setting. I have a passion for working with children and teens, but I work with young adults as well. I specialize in the areas of anxiety, depression, grief/loss, trauma, and anger, among others. I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TFCBT) and primarily utilize CBT, play-based, and mindfulness techniques in my practice. Therapy is a uniquely individualized experience, so I tailor my approach as needed and work to include each individual’s strengths and interests into therapy while keeping their needs and desires at the forefront of treatment. I strive to create a welcoming, safe, and comfortable environment where you can be yourself without fear of judgement. I look forward to walking alongside you or your child as we explore the things that have been holding you back and develop skills to break free of them and live a more fulfilling life.
