Taking that first step and starting therapy or going back to therapy can be intimidating. In my practice, I create a safe, relaxed, welcoming environment where we work at your pace and comfort level to help alleviate anxiety about the therapeutic process.
I like to take a holistic approach to therapy and help patients understand how their symptoms, both physical and emotional/mental, are related and then lean on a wide range of coping skill strategies to manage both as they relate to their mental health journey. I have experience and specialize in treating patients with ADHD, anxiety, PTSD, PMAD, sleep difficulties, depression, grief and loss, religious trauma, life change, and relational conflict difficulties. I have extensive training in treating trauma and utilize Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help patients heal and be able to tell their story. I have a Master’s in Counseling from Spring Arbor University and training in EMDR, IFS, DBT-I, CBT, motivational interviewing, solution-focused, and several other treatment modalities. I try to take the approach that we might have to try several approaches to see which works best for YOU!
