My name is Corey Iams, and I received my graduate and undergraduate degrees from Indiana University, earning a B.A. in Psychology and a Master of Social Work, respectively. I am a Clinically Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW). My experience has been in social work since 2014 and almost entirely in community-based settings. I have worked with adults and children of all ages and draw upon these experiences to inform my current practice. I have a passion for helping others achieve their goals!
My approach is to be solution-focused, person-centered, and strength-based. You are the expert on you. I draw from multiple therapeutic modalities, including motivational interviewing, trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and gestalt therapy.
Common concerns I help with include; ADHD, addiction, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression, mood disorders, and stress management. I work with ages ranging from 16 years old to 35 years old.
