If you are here seeking out help, know that you have already taken the biggest step! Reaching out for support can be difficult and often seems more challenging than overcoming the things that we fear may be holding us back. Life isn’t always the easiest journey to be on, and it is important to have a therapist in your corner that is willing to challenge you, support you, and help you grow.
I have worked in the mental health and substance use field for the last 15 years in a variety of settings. I believe my background of working in inpatient, residential, and outpatient settings has helped me develop the skills needed to assist those who are having difficulties with mental health and substance use. My work experience, along with my education and training as a licensed social worker, help guide my practice to see you as a whole person versus just seeing the challenges you may be facing.
I practice an eclectic and conversational style of therapy. I like to include various therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavioral therapy, and other techniques to make therapy personalized and to best suit each individual’s needs.
Outside of therapy, I am someone who loves to laugh and sees humor in all aspects of life. I enjoy hiking and spending time outdoors. I enjoy shopping, especially looking for hidden treasures at thrift stores and antique shops.
I really look forward to connecting with you and seeing how we can walk through life’s journey together!
