ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.” Carl Rogers
The journey to self-acceptance and change is worth the risk, and as a therapist I am motivated to help you accept who you are. I want to encourage you to seek your purpose and passion in life as you overcome barriers and discover your true potential.
I graduated from Grand Valley State University with both my bachelor’s degree in Psychology (2010) and master’s degree in Social Work (2014). I have 11 years of experience in the mental health field serving families and children, adults with substance use disorders, and providing emergency response for individuals in acute crisis.
I am interested in supporting clients with a large variety of concerns and needs. As a therapist, I utilize client-centered approaches including motivational interviewing and active reflective listening. I seek opportunities to develop my clinical skillset and invest in continuing education and advancement as a therapist to better meet clients’ needs.
As a husband and father of 4, I bring a unique perspective to therapy. I am thankful for the experiences and people in my life who shape me personally and professionally. Christian faith is an important part of my life as well. If this is important to you, I would love to integrate it into therapy.
Please contact me so we can get on the road to healing. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you as we journey into therapy together.
