You are welcome here. Starting counseling is a brave step in working towards the you that you want to be. Maybe that looks like being able to fall and stay asleep without the worries of your life keeping you up at night. Maybe that looks like deciding if, or how you want to have a difficult conversation with someone important to you. Maybe that looks like identifying the next best step to take in your life. It might even be that you don't know why, but you know that your day to day life isn't working the way you need it to, and you are longing for change. Know that you are not alone and I am here to help you.
Through the use of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person Centered Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing we will work together to identify areas of concern in your life and discover positive steps forward. Stress, anxiety, and difficult situations will always be a part of our lives, but with the right tools and headspace you can be confident in your ability to thrive. I am looking forward to joining you on this journey.
My career has focused on providing counseling to children, teenagers, and young adults struggling with anxiety, depression, and life transitions. I attended Grand Valley State University and graduated with my Masters in Social Work with minors in Psychology and Sociology in 2016. In counseling I utilize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Person Centered Therapy to meet you where you are at and provide the right form of treatment. One of the most rewarding parts of my life is to see the clients I work with build confidence and move towards a healthy future!
