NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

My primary focus as your therapist is helping everyone I work with develop a strong sense of purpose, stability, resiliency and support systems so you can go out into the world with the confidence that you can handle your problems and become the best version of yourself. I emphasize a very client centered approach to therapy that encourages growth but does not overwhelm you or spend time focusing on issues not important to you. I focus a lot on self care and self actualization from a very humanistic approach. I believe the client and therapist relationship is the most important aspect of the entire process and focus a lot on rapport building and trust. I have a lot of history with persons with anger management, social anxiety, anxiety, depression, autism, and work with adolescents and adults.

I graduated from the University of Wyoming in 2013 with my Masters in Social Work and have spent most of my career working in the mountains of Idaho. Growing up with a parent in the Coast Guard I was fortunate enough to spend my childhood in states coast to coast and this has given me the gift of being able to work and connect with persons of a variety of political, religious, and cultural backgrounds. I emphasize Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Solutions Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and self care planning as well as social skills education through group therapy.

I am excited to be a part of the community of Western Michigan and helping those who live here! When not working you will find me seeing the sites with my wife and two daughters, enjoying reading, board games, playing the guitar, PC gaming, going to movies, and likely at the center of a mosh pit at your local heavy metal show.
