Hello and welcome. My name is Judy Kievit. I am a mother, a gardener, a cat lover and a Christian. I have been counseling professionally since I graduated from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary in 2010 with my MA in counseling.
My therapeutic style is person centered, but I also incorporate techniques and ideas from rational-emotive, cognitive behavioral and narrative therapy as well as mindfulness and spiritual interventions. The unique needs of each individual client determines the therapeutic approach I use. My primary goal is to build a trusting, validating relationship and provide a safe place for healing and exploration.
My experience includes depression, anxiety, trauma, adjustment issues, spiritual matters and more. Hope and healing are possible; change can happen. I would be honored to walk with you into the next chapter of your life as you sort through your unique challenges and find new hope.
