NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

I have always wanted to be in a career that I felt had a tangible impact on people from all different walks of life. To be a part of someone’s healing journey where they become true to themselves and find their own inner joy brings me a lot of joy as well. I have been in the behavioral health and addictions field for over 13 years now as a licensed professional counselor.

Out of these years of experience, I have learned that the quality of the relationship with the client is the primary agent of change and what techniques are used are secondary. Building that sense of trust and that I am an advocate and supporter of your well-being is my primary activity. Beyond that, using some ways to challenge your thinking and help you understand your emotions can be helpful in helping you move forward from those stuck, painful places in life. I can adapt to a wide variety of situations people are experiencing in their lives. I do have more experience with mental health situations where people are in states of deep depression or paralyzing anxiety. I have worked for years with people experiencing addiction as well as psychotic or bipolar disorders. I also have expertise working with parents that have children with special needs and the challenges that can bring.

Whatever your needs may be, it’s good that you are looking at taking these steps to talk it through and get to a better place.

HEALING DOESN’T MEAN THE DAMAGE NEVER EXISTED. IT MEANS THE DAMAGE NO LONGER CONTROLS OUR LIVES. – Akshay Dubey
