ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

Hello, I'm Nancy and I would like to invite you to join me in navigating the challenges of your journey through mid-life and beyond.

Is your life becoming uncomfortable or overwhelming? Are past experiences troubling? Are the stressors and pressures of today causing you to feel stuck affecting your mental well being? Life is a journey whose road can often become difficult to travel due to past experiences and choices which may not be working for us today. We all experience the demands of different life roles and responsibilities, pressures from work, family, society and our own unmet expectations or today's unexpected and difficult circumstances. We may encounter barriers which seem too difficult to get through, negatively impacting our quality of life and self fulfilment.

While most of us experience troubles and barriers at some time in our lives, we can challenge our unique way of handling things, sharing our concerns and exploring our needs while learning how to navigate the unexpected and often difficult life transitions that occur for all of us. Life can be hard and no one is immune to stress, internal struggles, fluctuating emotions, loss and various forms of challenges that occur throughout life. You can achieve freedom from the overwhelming stresses related to life experiences and events that accumulate over time.

We all have the potential to gain an understanding of ourselves, resolve painful experiences, gain a different perspective about our life situation and learn better ways to cope with the stress and pressures of life today. We can use our strengths to regain or rediscover our sense of self and improve our quality of life.

We can learn to identify unhealthy thought patterns that keep us stuck with unpleasant thoughts and perpetuate anxiety and sadness. We can learn to manage the unexpected stressors that may come as we travel through mid-life and beyond. We can collaboratively search and find answers or solutions as we explore the road blocks preventing a smooth journey through life's transition. Road blocks can prove beneficial at times allowing us an opportunity to reevaluate the course of our lives.

I have a passion for assisting mature adults who are finding their journey a little rough and would consider it an honor and a privilege to walk with you as you share your concerns, losses and stresses that come with the unexpected experiences of mid-life and the next chapter. We can't start that next chapter of our life if we keep re reading the last one. I am passionate about assisting you in learning to cope with distress while learning healthy coping skills for life and finding what you need to navigate whatever you are facing. You do not need to do this alone. Courage is not the absence of fear, it is the taking of action in spite of fear, moving out against the resistance into the unknown and into the future. I invite you to join me in navigating the challenges of our journey through mid-life and beyond.
