Greetings and welcome to CCWM! I'm delighted that you've taken a moment to learn more about me and how I can assist you on your journey.
My name is Pat Howe, and I am both a licensed clinical psychotherapist and a licensed marriage and family therapist. With over 40 years of experience in the field, I am deeply passionate about serving others by working together to discover personal strengths and how to best develop them for the life you want.
I earned my graduate degree from the University of Michigan, and I hold prestigious credentials as a Board Certified Clinical Diplomate in Social Work and a Clinical Fellow in Marriage and Family Therapy. My extensive training and decades of practice have equipped me with a profound understanding of the human experience, which I bring to every therapeutic session.
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with adults at every stage of life. Whether you're navigating the exhilarating yet daunting journey of early adulthood, embracing the joys and challenges of singlehood, balancing the demands of young parenthood, or seeking to redefine your life post-divorce, I am here to support you. I also specialize in helping individuals gracefully navigate the complexities of aging.
In addition to general life transitions, I have a particular interest in working with those managing chronic medical conditions. These conditions can significantly impact self-perception and the ability to live a fulfilling life. My personal lived experience with chronic medical issues informs my empathetic and holistic approach to therapy.
One area where I am especially sought after is my work with individuals facing gastrointestinal (GI) issues and exploring the gut-brain connection. Through the use of deep relaxation techniques, meditation, and cognitive restructuring, I help clients develop healthier ways of thinking about and managing their GI symptoms.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in collaboration and empathy. I create a welcoming environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their stories and goals. Together, we develop a personalized path towards achieving your best life.
Thank you for considering me as a partner in your therapeutic journey. I look forward to walking alongside you through life's difficult patches and celebrating your growth and successes.
Warm regards,
Pat Howe
