Welcome! My name is Renee. I am a fully licensed counselor in Michigan.
I have over 15 years experience in the mental health field working with children and adults. I received my Masters degree in Counseling from Central Michigan University. I have worked in community mental health setting as a home based therapist for children 0-18 years of age. I have also worked in a private practice with teens and adults and in the school setting as a mental health therapist.
I believe in using a person centered approach to help others cope with anxiety, depression, family dynamics, parenting struggles, grief/loss, relationship issues, self esteem, and crisis situations. I use evidence-based treatment approaches such as trauma focused-CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (Dialectical behavioral therapy), and motivational interviewing.
My therapy style is relaxed, collaborative, and holistic. I am passionate about helping others. My focus is you and helping you create the life you want by becoming the best version of yourself.
