ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
Are you an adult struggling with the loss of a parent, either recently or as a child?
Are you navigating a career change and/or dealing with job loss?
Are you anticipating a pending loss?
Are you trying to understand the “stages of grief” and how they may or may not apply to you?
Circumstances related to questions such as these, and many others, are my specialty in walking alongside clients as they navigate grief and loss in its variety of forms. If you are in a place where grief feels like a constant companion that, more often than not, seems like it is in control, I am here to help you understand and learn to walk with grief instead of against it. While grief is frequently thought of in terms of death losses, it can be applied to far more types of losses - financial, relationship, ability, health, security, and identity, to name a few. As a person-centered therapist, I tend to be non-directive (i.e., laid-back) in my approach, though I can adapt to be more directive if circumstances warrant. It is a privilege to be called upon to accompany individuals on their mental health journey, and I am grateful for the opportunity to walk with you.
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with my cousins, reading, watching (almost) any professional sport on TV, writing, eating(!!), watching classic movies and TV shows, returning to Disney World whenever I can, listening to 1930s jazz, and putting up with my sister's wild but loveable dogs.
