“The universe is not outside of you. Look inside yourself; everything that you want, you already are.” -Jalaluddin Rumi
I believe that we already have the strength and ability within us to meet our goals. You are the expert of your life and you know what works best to achieve your goals. My hope is to walk alongside you and to create a safe space as you explore your needs in this journey we call life. We can all use a support at some point in our lives, myself included.
I am primarily based in Person-Centered and Mindfulness-Based approaches. I also incorporate pieces of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. My approach is personal to you and your therapeutic needs. The three most important areas in a counseling relationship are authenticity, non-judgement and empathy. Opening yourself up to someone takes bravery. It can be a scary process and it may take some time to feel like you can fully be yourself. Just know that I too have been in your seat and am willing to meet you where you are at. It is an honor to join you on your path in whatever capacity is needed.
About Me
Personally, I enjoy spending time with friends, family, and my two cats. You may find me at the bowling alley, reading in a hammock, or walking on local trails. I come from a musical background and was very involved with marching band as well as singing with my family.
