NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
I would be happy to speak with you about how I can be of assistance in dealing with the issues you may be facing. It will give you reassurance to know we will work together to help you with whatever concerns you are facing. You don’t have to do this alone. My therapy sessions are offered via telehealth services. I am willing to offer day and evening appointments.
I have the exceptional ability to establish a connection and help an individual feel comfortable and make changes during a time that they are most vulnerable. I have over 17 years of experience providing mental health counseling services and neuropsychological assessment to children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of outpatient settings. While I am trained in a variety of treatment modalities (cognitive-behavioral, trauma-based, family systems, motivational interviewing, etc.), the actual counseling approach I use with a given client is determined by the client's preferences and personal goals, as well as the issue being addressed. I provide treatment for children, adolescents, adults, couples, families, groups, and consultations for businesses.
I am skilled in treatment methods addressing adjustment concerns, depression, anxiety, PTSD, behavioral issues, family concerns, bullying, self-esteem issues, and academic difficulties (K-12 and college). I have experience in the field of rehabilitation psychology working with traumatic brain injury, stroke, sleep disorders, and other neurophysiological issues. I have extensive experience providing seminars on the prevention and treatment of PTSD for veterans, police, corrections officers, dispatchers, and firemen.
I have 16 years of teaching at Central Michigan University. The scope of my course was spent helping students understand brain behavior relationships and how the brain learns best to master academic coursework. Discussed adjustment issues that are experienced throughout college from a freshman to graduation. Focused on problem solving and critical thinking skills, how to establish goals, ways to make decisions to lead a healthy lifestyle, and making sure today’s choices were leading to tomorrow’s successes. In addition, I have consulted with businesses regarding employee functionality, work environment atmosphere, and coaching executives to make the best life and business decisions.
I look forward to working with you and make the changes that you want to make!
