ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
One of the most rewarding and meaningful pursuits you can take is to invest in your heart. At first glance, that might seem daunting, yet it is absolutely possible.
As a counselor, I am privileged in walking alongside and witnessing the strengthening, renewing, and rediscovering of who you are. I believe that facing your pains, weaknesses, and traumas is a commendable, courageous act. I work to make that journey as effective and dignified as possible using a varied approach based on each individual, as no two stories are truly the same. I am versed in person-centered therapy, CBT, EMDR (trained), and appreciate psychodynamic and psychoanalytic approaches as well (no worries if you aren't familiar with any of these!) I graduated from Grand Rapids Theological Seminary and am trained through the EMDR Institute.
When you come to know me you'll also find that I appreciate philosophy, religion, and spirituality: I believe these are intricate and valid topics on the road to healing, and am always seeking to learn something new. Regardless of background, I am open and excited to partner with you on your goals.
Overall, there are many motivations to go to therapy and know life is full of seasons. I will work hard to meet you where you are, chart where you want to go, and equip you along the way.
