Bethany Hanks, LLMSW

I believe that every person is the expert in their own life and the author of their own story. As your therapist, it is my privilege to come alongside to help you work through tough situations in ways that work best for you, help you find the tools you need to succeed, and offer you the unconditional support that can often be so hard to find. Pain, trauma, confusion, heartache, anxiety: these are struggles that can make us feel paralyzed. Navigating these situations may feel difficult, or even impossible; I want to help make it easier. No matter where you are in your story, I look forward to helping you write your next chapter.

I earned my masters degree in social work from Grand Valley State University and have experience working with children, teens, women, and members of the LGBTQ+ community. In addition to taking a gentle, person-centered approach, I am trained in Brainspotting and EMDR. If you find yourself thinking, “I want help, but I’m just not ready to talk about it,” these might be the approaches for you.
