Emmitt Davis, M.A., LLPC
NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
I am an LLPC with a Christian worldview that believes that all people are deserving of respect, love, and a fulfilled life.
I bring to the counseling profession six (6) years of professional work experience providing case management services to children and adolescents diagnosed with mental illness, as well as over twenty (20) years of professional work experience in human resources.
I have earned a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling, with an emphasis in School Counseling, from Spring Arbor University, which included completing an internship with an Intensive Outpatient (IOP) substance use program, where I provided individual counseling to participants with substance and other addictions.
Through my education, employment, and life experiences, I am equipped to serve children/adolescents, men’s issues, career (work/employee assistance), as well as clients struggling with self-esteem, anxiety, and depression. I believe that humor can play an integral role in assisting clients in shifting their perspectives.
My intentional desire is to provide each client with a safe space to process and facilitate healing and develop productive coping strategies to aid in managing their challenges. Treatment is eclectic and may include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Solution Focused therapies, spiritual disciplines, or other associated modalities.
I am committed to partnering with you to help facilitate progress in navigating through and beyond the issues which challenge your peace of mind.
