Cultivate calm ~ it may be easier than you think

Life can be messy and the challenges and transitions that we all must travel through can be very burdensome. As my favorite author Brené Brown said:

“You don’t have to go it alone, no one was meant to”.

I’m here to help. I’m here to support. I’m here to facilitate you truly seeing the courage and strength inside.

I graduated with honors from Wayne State University and have experience working with a wide range of clients and issues. I work with both families and individuals of all ages including those experiencing relationship stress, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, challenging life transitions, chronic illness as well as those struggling with the issues surrounding adoption.

My approach is holistic, mindful and compassionate. I believe in starting wherever you are and assisting you in identifying were you want to go, so you can feed your desires and not your fears. Although I choose not to align myself with one particular therapeutic theory, I find that there are certain models best suited for talk therapy. That's why I lean towards a Humanistic perspective, one that focuses on the individual's self- development and growth. Therapists that adopt a Humanistic perspective recognize the importance of their client's individual strengths, creativity, and choice in the 'here and now'. I practice from a strengths base, solution focused perspective, utilizing several treatment modalities based upon your individual needs and concerns.

I am passionate about developing a therapeutic relationship where clients can find the strength, perspective and the tools to manage life’s obstacles and challenges.

I believe by learning about ourselves we can find greater joy and meaning in our lives.

I have the formal education but also the valuable life experience one cannot learn from a book. I’ve known darkness and joy. I’ve lost relationships, seen children leave and mourned the loss of a parent.

I’m grateful you’re here. Let me help you learn and explore, in a safe trusted space, so your life can be all that you envision.
