My goal as a psychologist is to provide my clients with a safe space where they can truly be who they are without judgment. I strongly believe that everyone deserves to feel safe and have support. Serving diverse populations is incredibly important to me and I enjoy providing that safe space to process many of the “isms” our society imposes. I am an LGBTQ ally and have experience walking with others at different stages of their journey. My door is open to anyone regardless of age, gender, sexuality, spirituality, religion, race, or ethnicity.
. I am a huge self-care advocate and believe that the best way a parent can influence their child is by being a role model for self-care which could mean a parent also seeking therapy for extra support. Perhaps you are feeling more stressed out than usual, going through a major life change, or have been struggling for years and finally decided to seek help. Whatever your reason, together we can come up with a plan to help you achieve your goals and live the life you have envisioned.
Outside of the office I enjoy spending time with family, especially my nieces and nephews. I enjoy being outdoors doing anything from kayaking, to biking, hiking, camping, swimming, white water rafting, or just enjoying the sunshine. Indoors I tend to spend time in the gym or at a yoga studio. I also love animals and have a very large cat named Ike (he is 16 pounds).
As a way to become a more holistic practitioner, I integrate my 500-hour yoga teacher training knowledge so that I can begin to use movement with clients in therapeutic ways. I also use HRV Biofeedback to help clients begin to understand and manage their physiological reactions. I believe that our physical health and mental health are closely connected and am passionate about helping people reach goals physically, mentally, and emotionally.
