 NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

I am a fully licensed Clinical Social Worker and I most often go by "Miss Lisa." I graduated with my Bachelors in Social Work followed by my Masters in Social Work in 2008. For over 15 years I have been offering children, adolescents, and families support across residential, community home-based, school-based, center based, and outpatient therapy settings.

I have training in a variety of psychotherapy approaches including Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (including Trauma Focused), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Dyadic Developmental Psychotherapy and complimentary Therapeutic Play Strategies with an Interoception focus.  My areas of experience include Trauma, Grief and Loss, Adoption and Attachment Concerns, Anxiety, Depression, Mood Disorders, Life Transitions/Adjustment, Autism, ADHD, Developmental Differences, Sensory Sensitivities and LGBTQ+.

I encourage utilizing the outdoors during session for movement opportunities and practicing Mindfulness techniques in nature.  I often incorporate the Growth Mindset and The Social Thinking Curriculum with a Bibliotherapy approach.  It is a privilege to be welcomed into families’ lives and share in their child’s experience of how they experience the world.   I am a parent with a young family, and we appreciate exploring the beauty of Michigan across the seasons.

I love learning of each family’s hopes, dreams, adventures and interests and look forward to hearing yours!
