Hi, I am Paul Russell, LPC. I have had a lifetime of experience helping others and now I am here to help you!
 
I have been married for 24 years (to the same person) and we have awesome two adult children. We have a small hobby farm in Holland with ducks, chickens our two cats Demetri and Emma and our Poodle Paris and the queen of the house our Shih-Tzu Lady. I am an outdoor type of person thus the reason we moved back to Michigan being on or by the lakes or in the woods make me very happy.
 
My educational information: B.A. in psychology, M.A. in Mental Health Counseling, and I am working on my Ph.D. in Psychology.
 
I have had the pleasure to be a special education teacher for kids grades K-12. They taught me more then I taught them! The three lessons my special education kids taught me was:
 
When you have a challenge in life you don’t give up, you push on even if it is just a little every day.
You need to learn to see the world through others eyes and then maybe you can see yours better.
Laughing is the strongest medicine to make life better!
 
I have used these lessons in all the many positions in the therapy field I have had the privilege to be part of. I have worked with juveniles and adults in jail and afterward, high risk family in their homes, adult and adolescent trauma recovery, private therapist for all types of clients and Family crisis intervention therapy (just to name a few).
 
I am available to work with individual teens, adults, and families. I believe in straight forward honest therapy that supports clients to stand on their own as soon as they are ready!
 
I have extensive trauma recovery training to help with those with trauma experiences to PTSD.
I offer functional therapy for men’s mental health issues.
I offer therapy for teens dealing with anxiety, depression, and trauma
I also specialize in helping professionals (first responders and human service professionals with secondary trauma processing.
