Becca DeKorne, LLMSW

My name is Becca (she/her). As a therapist, I feel honored to be part of someone’s journey as they discover and work towards becoming the best version of themselves. I believe we are all experts in our own experience. So I enjoy collaborating with clients and meeting them where they are to create a therapeutic relationship that meets their needs.

I’ve been fortunate enough to serve folks from diverse backgrounds, and have experience treating a wide range of areas, such as depression, anxiety, identity development, self-esteem, stress management, self-care, life transitions, career exploration, traumatic experiences, and relationship difficulties. However, I specialize in counseling college students and young adults. I have a deep passion for walking alongside those who are experiencing the changes, challenges and beauty found in these seasons of life.

Therapy can be an intimidating experience and being vulnerable can be a challenging task. So, I seek to create a safe, warm, and validating environment for clients by using a person-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused approach. My favorite part of therapy is the freedom it can offer, the permission it gives us to care for ourselves, and the impact this can have on our quality of life. I firmly believe inner peace is possible amidst life’s chaos, and I enjoy the opportunity to help others as they discover this peace and understanding within themselves.

Outside of therapy, I drink lots of coffee, pet lots of dogs, and take lots of walks. I enjoy feel-good movies, photography, and the beach. My favorite thing to do is to learn something new and my favorite place to be is surrounded by those who know me.

I wish you a fruitful and fulfilling therapeutic journey and hope to cross paths with you soon!
