My name is Dennis and I am a fully licensed professional counselor.

You’ve made the brave step to reach out for help. The human experience is hard, and all of us need some guidance through the tough times, including myself.

For the past 25 years I’ve been a community mental health clinician here in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I’ve helped people navigate a challenging and complex system to help heal from emotional and physical crisis, including addiction, incarceration, trauma, homelessness and multiple mental health diagnoses.

I received an undergraduate degree in Psychology from Central Michigan University and a Masters in Rehabilitation Counseling from Michigan State.

In my practice I draw on a wide variety of theories, trainings, and experiences to individualize the therapy experience. I work in collaboration with my clients, meaning I won’t be directive or prescriptive. I simply follow the same compassionate approaches used in my own personal, healing journey.
