Welcome! As a therapist, I believe you are the expert in your own life and it is my role to help you to realize your potential. By using a person-centered approach, I help others cope with the struggles that life brings including anxiety, depression, life transitions and trauma. Life can be hard and we cannot predict everything we might encounter. Therapy can be a great place to learn skills that will positively change the path of your future. It is my goal to help you feel heard, understood and supported, while gaining confidence to change and grow.
I work with teenagers through adulthood, in all stages and phases of life. I have worked with college students struggling with the transition into adulthood as well as parents who are struggling with the daily stressors of trying to keep it all together for their families. With 20 years’ experience in the mental health field both as a case manager and therapist, I utilize a variety of approaches to therapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing and Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT).
I graduated from Rochester College with my Bachelor’s in 2002 and worked for 16 years as a case manager for a Community Mental Health. I then graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2019 with my Master’s in Social Work and began my work as a therapist. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, traveling, dreaming about vacations and playing with my dogs.
