Hi, my name is Liz! I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 5 years of experience working in the mental health field. I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2019 with my MSW degree. I’ve worked with a variety of populations, but I’ve found that I particularly enjoy working with children, adolescents, and young adults.
My areas of specialty include anxiety, depression, grief, life transitions, relationships, family dynamics, stress management, and self-esteem. I utilize a variety of therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, and Mindfulness. My approach is to provide a safe space where individuals feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgement. I want the individuals I work with to be able to share their story and feel empowered to navigate the difficult moments in life. It is my goal to provide a relaxed and comfortable environment that allows you to feel heard and understood.
I have many lived experiences from my childhood and early adulthood that I bring to this role, and I believe these experiences will provide me with the opportunity to relate to the individuals I serve. I want to make a difference in the lives of those that I work with by providing the empathy and support that they need. I will do my best to help you build upon your strengths and develop resiliency to ensure that you can achieve change and overcome the challenges you are facing. Please reach out with any questions. I look forward to meeting you and hearing your story!
