Hello. I’m so glad you stopped to read more about me. It’s no coincide that you’re here. You’re looking for solutions to feeling better and you’ve tried therapy before and it helped some, but you’re still not feeling as good as you want to. Well, no more worries, I’ll teach ways to overcome your thoughts that keep you stuck in cycles of dissatisfaction. Together, we’ll explore ways to make slight shifts in what you’re doing to get better results. It’s a little here, a little there. Together we can create the success you seek.

I’m a clinical social worker who helps individuals build their best selves, creating a life of satisfaction, which goes beyond happiness. I started my career in child protection investigations interviewing children about allegations of abuse and neglect. From there, I did case management for those on civil commitments for their mental health or substance abuse, to work with veterans and then more recently working within a tribal community. I’ve worked cross culturally my entire career and find great joy in helping people achieve their goals.

Because of my child protection background, I use the theoretical background of attachment and how your attachment style influences your relationships to self, others, your community and what you’re perception of the world. I use a wide variety of techniques to help you achieve new insights so you can make shifts in your behavior to have and experience the life you desire. From cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, dialectical behavioral therapy, solution focused and many others there’s no one size fits all here. You’re unique and the approach to your situation must be tailored to you. I continue learning and expanding my knowledge each year to stay up to date on current treatments and trends. At the heart of my work is fun, as life is tough enough without laughter. So if you’re ready to make some changes give me a call today. I look forward to collaborating with you. Best wishes, Valerie
