“We own our stories so we donʼt spend our lives being defined by them or denying them. And while the journey is long and difficult at times, it is the path to living a more whole-hearted life." -
Everyone needs someone to talk with that will accept us, without judgement. I strive to provide a warm, safe space to assist individuals in personal growth, learning, and healing. Together, we will collaborate to develop effective solutions and skills to incorporate on your journey to a more rich, fulfilling life.
I graduated with my Bachelorʼs and Masterʼs degrees in Social Work from Grand Valley State University. I am a fully licensed clinical social worker. I am also a certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CAADC). I utilize many evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills, and psycho-education.
I work with individuals on issues such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, womenʼs and LGBTQ+ issues, chronic physical health conditions, domestic violence, trauma, stress management, and life transitions.
Therapy is helpful during a hard time and can be something we come back to when we need support or a tune-up. Self-care is an essential part of overall health, and therapy can be one act of self-care. I look forward to working with you!
My self-care includes: nature walks with my kids, reruns of Golden Girls, reading, cold brew coffee, and daily chocolate.
