Hello and welcome! My name is Lainey and I’m glad you’ve taken this important step in your journey. I am a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor with three years of experience in mental health. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and graduated with my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Siena Heights University.

I have worked in a variety of settings with a wide variety of different people. Much of my experience includes trauma work stemming from events such as domestic violence, sexual assault, unexpected deaths, and chaotic childhood experiences. My passion is to help my clients regain a sense of self, a sense of empowerment, and discover new ways to experience their lives. My goal is to help you find a space in which you are heard, seen, and safe.

My style is eclectic with a focus on person-centered, humanistic techniques. I pride myself on my ability to meet people where they are and sit with them there until they are ready to move forward. Some techniques that I utilize frequently are Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Behavioral Activation. Psychoeducation is a huge part of my work, as well. I am not only able to hear how you feel inside, but maybe also give some insight on the biological processes which contribute to these feelings.
