ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
Hi and Welcome! What you’re doing right now is one of the hardest parts of therapy; finding someone and starting. It can be a vulnerable and confusing spot to be in so go easy on yourself! I’m Sarah, a licensed profession counselor and here to walk alongside you during this time in your life.
I received my Bachelors degree in Psychology at Aquinas College in 2016 and my Masters degree in Counselor Education: Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Western Michigan University in 2019. I had my internship at a local non-profit that serves survivors of domestic and sexual violence, and they hired me as a therapist after my graduation. My work over the years with survivors of all walks of life including LGBTQ+ folks has taught me to see people through an intersectional lens as there are always multiple layers to a person.
I provide individual and family therapy to children, teens and adults. I specialize in trauma, divorce, and self-harm along with a multitude of other topics I feel confident in. My therapeutic approach is warm, compassionate and relaxed.
