ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

My goal in therapy is to provide a safe, warm, and inviting space where you can express yourself and grow into the individual you want to be. To assist in that process, I use a variety of evidence-based practices, such as Mindfulness and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), in a way that is understandable and approachable, while also challenging you to improve and grow.

My areas of passion include assisting people who have experienced trauma in moving from Post Traumatic Stress to developing Post-Traumatic Growth and resilience; addressing anxiety; and treating Substance Use. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Seeking Safety, and Mindfulness.

My educational background includes a Master of Social Work from Grand Valley State University and a B.S. in Psychology from Central Michigan University.

I find inspiration and hope in the works of Brené Brown PhD, LMSW; Nadine Burke Harris, M.D.; Bessel van der Kolk, M.D.; Janet Mock; and Gabor Maté, M.D.
