NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

Hi, my name is Samantha Gonzalez or Mrs. Sam to the kiddos.

My 10+ years of clinical experience has been working with children and families in a variety of settings (school, in-home, crisis work, Outpatient, and group therapy). I am open to working with any population, but kids are my specialty (ages 5-18). I also specialize in trauma therapy (TFCBT and CPT) with kids, young adults, and families.

You will find that I am a very genuine, down-to-earth clinician, and that I relate very well to youth. The key to success in therapy is 15% therapy techniques, 15% client expectation, 30% strength of the client and therapist relationship, and 40% client personal determination and strengths. Together, we work to get you to a place where you feel at peace and confident enough to take on life's ups and downs.

And remember.. "Your track record of surviving bad days is 100%"

See below for more detailed information on my background, therapies used, and areas of practice focus:

  • I received my Bachelor's in Social Work from Northern Michigan University, and my Masters in Social Work from the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). I am an LMSW- Licensed Masters in Social Work.

  • I utilize many therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, Solution-Focused, Strengths-Based, Play therapy, and Psychoeducational.

Looking forward to meeting you!
