 NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

I'm Shelby, and I'm here to provide a warm, empathetic, and holistic approach to your healing journey. I firmly believe that authenticity serves as a guiding light on the path to healing. With personal experience in navigating cPTSD and auDHD, I understand the intricate complexities of healing and the vital role of authenticity in the process. My educational background includes graduation from Grand Valley State University and extensive training in trauma-informed care, child development, and somatic/holistic approaches to therapy.

Modalities: My therapeutic approach blends various bottom-up, person-centered, and emotion-focused modalities, including Internal Family Systems/Parts Work Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Polyvagal Theory, Compassion-Focused Therapy, and Strengths-Based Therapy. I believe that therapy is a collaborative process, and I work closely with my clients to understand their unique needs and goals. It's a profound honor and privilege when clients choose to have me alongside them on their quest to rediscover and embrace their authentic selves.

Values: I am deeply passionate about social justice and recognize the importance of addressing systemic issues related to mental health care and overall well being. I am dedicated to upholding anti-capitalist, anti-oppressive, and anti-ableist principles, and to serving as an affirming ally to LGBTQ+ communities, people of color, and individuals with disabilities. In my practice, I actively work towards these commitments by fostering a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment that values the diversity, lived experiences, and uniqueness of each client.

If you are seeking therapy services, congratulations on taking an important step towards healing and growth. It takes a lot of courage to seek help, and I commend you for taking this step. When you read my bio, I hope you feel understood, inspired, and excited to embark on a journey of self-discovery and healing. If you're seeking a therapist with similar values and a passion for authentic healing, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
