ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, but it can also be the first step toward healing and change. My goal is to make that step feel a little less scary by offering a safe, supportive, and encouraging space. I believe every young person deserves to be heard, understood, and equipped with tools to navigate life’s challenges with resilience and hope.

I am a trauma-informed therapist specializing in helping children and teens work through trauma, anxiety, depression, PTSD, life transitions, and emotional regulation struggles. Whether it’s processing a difficult experience, managing anxiety, or adjusting to a big change, I strive to create a space where healing and growth can happen.

I graduated from Hope College with a bachelor’s in social work in 2016 and from Aurora University with a master’s in social work in 2019. My background includes three years supporting adoptive families and three years at a Children’s Advocacy Center in Denver, where I worked closely with children and families impacted by trauma.

In session, my style is warm, relaxed, and strength-based. I use humor, openness, and a nonjudgmental approach to help kids and teens feel comfortable and connected. I often incorporate Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT (TF-CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness to keep therapy both engaging and effective.
