ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
Hello, I am Christina Mangold. I graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2023 with a Masters in Social Work. My undergraduate degree is in Criminal Justice from Baker College. I have worked in community mental health for over two years, working in both urban and rural areas. Most of that time I have spent working with adults, who live with severe and persistent mental illness, such as Bi-polar Disorder and Schizophrenia. I have studied CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), Motivational Interviewing, EMDR, and strengths based approaches. I have obtained a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level II: Complex Trauma certificate.
Although my foundation is in Western Medicine, I have found therapeutic benefits for clients using mindfulness, meditation, and other holistic approaches in my practice. I enjoy incorporating Eastern medicine modalities into my practice, also being a Reiki Master, I have studied sound healing, using crystal bowls which are instruments to enhance guided meditations.
As a clinician, I meet people where they are in life, no matter where they are. I enjoy working with people during some of their toughest times, that is always an honor.
