ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and born and raised in Grand Rapids. I received my associate's degree in Child Development from Grand Rapids Community College, Bachelor's degree in Family Studies from Western Michigan University, and Masters in Counselor Education from Western Michigan University. I have provided services in various capacities, including home-based, residential, independent living programs, and outpatient therapy.
My approach to therapy is to meet my clients where they are in the moment. I provide time and space to build rapport and explore how therapy can be beneficial for each individual. I utilize a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Solution-Focused Therapy to explore and process presenting problems, such as: Depression, anxiety, stress-management, grief, gender and identify, intimate relationships, and family issues.
I understand therapy can be intimidating and do my best to create a relaxed environment by taking each individual's needs and requirements into consideration. I welcome clients of any age, gender, sexual orientation, religion, and culture, and love to learn from my clients, as much as they may learn from me.
