Hello! My name is Jean and I'm a licensed social worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor in Michigan. I have over 20 years of experience in social work, this includes working with individuals with concerns with mental health and/or addiction. I received my master’s degree in social work from Grand Valley State University.

Since becoming a licensed social worker, I have worked with a variety of people in a number of settings. This has included mental health agencies, substance abuse agencies, and residential settings. I enjoy using a person-centered and solution-focused approach to help others cope with anxiety, depression, and addiction. I do this with a pragmatic generalist approach combining evidence-based treatment that may include techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Skills.
