ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

Congratulations! Just by being here, you are taking the first step towards self-exploration which takes courage. Finding a therapist can be an anxiety-inducing and overwhelming experience. My goal is for you to feel truly seen, heard, and understood by developing a warm, compassionate, non-judgmental space where trust and safety is provided. I will be an ally and support to you throughout the process of discovery and transformation. I can help you utilize what has worked in the past, as well as teach you new tools to create more peace in your life.

I have 15 years of experience in the mental health field. In 2015, I graduated with a Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University. I have had the opportunity to worked with adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds and cultures on various obstacles including, but not limited to: anxiety, crisis intervention, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, low self-esteem, mood disorders, pain and/or chronic physical illness management, relationship and communication difficulties, spirituality/religious concerns, self injury, suicidal thoughts, and trauma/PTSD.

My method is to have a collaborative working relationship with you to create a unique plan that targets your specific needs, desires, and goals. I have a holistic perspective and value the interrelationships between the mind-body-spirit, and the individual-family/friends-community. I have an eclectic approach that is founded on empirically proven and evidenced based practices. I draw upon different talk therapies, mindfulness-based strategies, and incorporate psychosomatic techniques to help regulate emotions, calm and soothe the nervous system, gain self-awareness, improve relationships, and confront past wounds.

I look forward to the opportunity to hold space with you; to encourage healing and growth during this part of your journey.
