NOT CURRENTLY ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

Hello! I’m Julie Bohannon, a Limited Licensed Professional Counselor and recently graduated with a Master of Science in Counseling in 2024 from John Brown University. My approach to therapy is person-centered and strengths-based, aiming to empower my clients to navigate their challenges with confidence.

I see individuals and couples ages 13+. Personally, I bring a unique perspective as an adoptee from Korea, which has fueled my interest in adoption-related issues, identity exploration, and trauma. I'm also passionate about addressing parenting challenges, LGBTQ+ issues, spiritual trauma, and women's issues, all of which are areas where I strive to provide sensitive and informed support. I have a special interest in couples therapy and am Gottman level 1 trained, which allows me to incorporate effective techniques into my work with couples.

My journey in counseling has taken me through diverse settings, including adolescent treatment centers, college counseling services, and community mental health, where I've had the privilege of supporting individuals and couples alike.

Outside of counseling, I find joy in reading across different genres, which not only enriches my personal life but also informs my professional practice. Staying active through exercise helps me maintain balance and wellness, and I cherish meaningful moments spent with my husband and four teenagers.

Above all, I aim to create a warm, non-judgmental space where my clients feel understood and supported as they navigate their journeys toward healing and personal growth. I look forward to partnering with you on your path to well-being.
