ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
Hi everyone! I’m Kasey, a licensed therapist with over 18 years of experience helping adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck in anxiety, or navigating mood challenges and major life transitions.
My path to this work is both professional and personal. I have lived experience with anxiety myself, which gives me a deep understanding of how exhausting and isolating it can feel—and how possible recovery truly is. Because of that, my approach is often more direct, honest, and practical than traditional therapy. Clients often appreciate that I don’t sugarcoat things, but instead help them face fears, build skills, and move forward in meaningful ways.
I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from Western Michigan University and my undergraduate degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Grand Valley State University, with an emphasis in Adult Corrections. Early in my career I worked inside prisons and jails helping incarcerated individuals prepare for reentry into society and supporting families through reunification. That experience shaped my belief that people are capable of change—even in the hardest circumstances.
Alongside my clinical work, I’ve spent the past 18 years teaching psychology at the college level, bringing practical, real-world insight into both the classroom and the therapy office.
In my practice I work primarily with adults dealing with anxiety, depression, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. I use approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), and person-centered therapy. I also help clients with practical life areas like time management, career direction, and building structure in their daily lives.
Outside of work, I’m a wife, a mom to two teenagers, and the owner of a 60-pound pitbull I never knew I needed. In my spare time I enjoy reading, exercising, walking, crafting, spending time with my kids, and even reselling items on eBay as a side hobby.
At the core of my work is a simple belief: people are capable of growth and change. Therapy should be a collaborative, non-judgmental space where you can explore challenges, build resilience, and move toward a life that feels more manageable and meaningful.
