My name is Megan and I would love to get to work with you. My biggest love as a counselor is to empower others and support them as they put in the work to make their lives the best they can be. So often, our stories are diminished, both by ourselves and those around us, and I want to help change that. I focus on the mind body connection
and how our physical health intersects our mental health. I often use an acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) perspective, but I also incorporate dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) as well. Each person is unique and I take that into account when developing our plan going forward.
I graduated in 2021 from the University of Michigan where I received my Master of Social Work. I focused on individual and group counseling related to disordered eating. After graduating, I continued to specialize in eating disorders. In addition, I have experience working with depression, anxiety and personality disorders. I have worked with individuals at all levels of care: inpatient, partial and outpatient.
Aside from that, I enjoy baking, puzzles, and listening to music. I have a cat, Katya, who I adore. I’m a fan of coffee shops and love investigating local ones whenever I travel. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to reach out to our staff and we’ll be happy to help!
