ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS
Hello and Welcome! I am so happy you are here.
I support adults 18+ through substance use disorders, co-occurring mental health conditions, chronic pain, persistent mental illness, grief therapy, trauma/PTSD and those with life stressors/adjustment disorders.
I received my Master of Social Work from Western Michigan University and have 8 years of experience in the behavioral health field. This includes 5 years working in Community Mental Health supporting adults with Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities and time as a substance use therapist at Arbor Circle. I am passionate about supporting those with intellectual disabilities, caregivers who experience caregiver fatigue, individuals navigating chronic pain and individuals working on their relationship with substance use. I am passionate about Harm Reduction and walking alongside you as you navigate that journey.
I practice under the conditions of unconditional positive regard and offer a non-judgmental, person-centered approach in therapy. I myself have been in therapy for 8+ years and it has truly changed my life. It is an honor to support others on their journey in therapy as I have always known I would become a therapist.
I utilize an array of modalities including but not limited to: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing, Existential Therapy, Gottman Therapy and Mindfulness. I take a highly person-centered approach and look forward to building a therapeutic relationship with you.
Please note, along with English I speak Bosnian, Croatian and Serbian. I have lived experience with immigration, grief and mental illness. When not working, I enjoy spending time with my animals, scrapbooking, walking in nature and listening to music. I look forward to meeting with you soon!
