Shyra Williams is a Licensed Master’s of Social Work (LMSW) as well as an Advanced Certified Trauma Professional (ACTP), who has 15 years of experience working with adolescents, children, and their caregivers. Shyra provides an atmosphere of understanding and respect, and values a holistic and creative approach to therapy.
Shyra strives to create a safe, warm, non judgmental environment in which clients feel understood and comfortable exploring issues, while cultivating self awareness and coping skills. Shyra uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma Focused CBT, expressive arts, and client-centered therapy to meet the unique needs of each client.
Shyra enjoys working with diverse clients and her clinical interests include: relationship issues, family and parenting issues, life transitions, self-esteem, depression, anxiety, PTSD, and trauma. Shyra earned her master’s degree in social work from Grand Valley State University.
