ACCEPTING NEW PATIENTS

The first step to wellness is often the most difficult. I am so happy you are taking this step toward improving your mental health!

I began my career in mental health in 2016, after graduating from Grand Valley State University with a Master of Social Work degree. My clinical background is in crisis counseling and inpatient therapy. My areas of specialty include Anxiety Disorders, Depressive Disorders, Postpartum mental health, grief and loss, and Mood Disorders. I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Psychodynamic Practice from a Trauma-informed, strengths-based perspective. Additionally I have worked extensively with adolescents and adults in the LGBTQ+ community.

Prior to becoming a clinical social worker, I spent most of my professional life in education and curriculum development. As a military spouse and former military “brat” I am well-versed in the unique lifestyle stressors and mental health concerns our Service Members and Veterans face.

Life is complicated, and sometimes we need help untangling our thoughts and feelings. Sometimes we need a guide to help us through a dark place. Therapy is a journey, and it is one I would be honored to take with you.
